Donation Refund Policy

Save The Girl Child Foundation has developed this donation refund policy as part of our commitment to honoring and respecting the financial contributions made by our supporters. All donations are disbursed in a timely manner to projects supporting children, ensuring program objectives are met.

As a nonprofit, we rely on your donations to design and implement our work in education, health, and protection for girls. Changes in donation amounts can adversely impact outcomes. We want our refund principles to be transparent and fair for all donors.

Policy Scope

This policy outlines the circumstances under which Save The Girl Child Foundation will refund a donation. It applies only to non-earmarked donations. Donations made to specific projects or as part of CSR are not refundable.

Policy Statement

We expect that anyone wishing to donate considers their decision carefully and checks donation amounts during transactions. However, we recognize that errors can happen, and donors may change their minds, or an error may occur with our payment gateway.

Refund Rules

  • If an error is made in making a donation or if you change your mind, we will honor all refund requests made in writing within 15 (fifteen) days of the donation date.
  • The written request should include transaction details (date, amount, name, donor ID, tax invoice number, and the nature of the error).

  • All requests will be examined fully and genuine errors rectified. After 15 days, Save The Girl Child Foundation is under no obligation to provide refunds and the decision will be at our discretion.
  • Refunds will be processed only on return of tax exemption certificate or a written declaration that the previous receipt will not be used by the donor.
  • If an amount is adjusted, the original receipt becomes invalid and a new receipt will be issued for the correct amount.
  • Refund transaction charges may be passed on to the donor.
  • Refunds will be returned using the original payment method.
  • If an error is made by Save The Girl Child Foundation or our financial institution, a full refund will be made once we are notified in writing.

Responsibility and Policy Owner

The principal owner of this policy is the Director-Program Head, Save The Girl Child Foundation, responsible for implementation and outcomes.

All staff and volunteers must respect donors, ensure secure and transparent processes, respond proactively to refund requests, and communicate respectfully and professionally.
